On a small quiet street
Not fa
r from town,
Amid rows of like houses
A castle can be found.
original (9).jpg
A castle, you say
But how can this be?
Come along, let us enter
Into the Mystery.
original (10).jpg
For the castle is hidden
Outside, it’s unseen,
Yet within is the home
Of a Heavenly Queen.

And on this same street
Not far from town,
A boy and his dog
Can also be found.
Playing and frolicking
In grasses of green,
Under the shadow
Of the castle unseen.

Each day, more and more
The young boy was drawn,
To the castle unseen
And what lay beyond.
original (12).jpg
For something was different
He sensed in his heart,
‘Twas, he knew, holy ground
That set it apart.
original (13).jpg
Soon filled with great courage
And hope that did soar,
The boy and his dog,
Found themselves at the door.
original (14).jpg
Then he heard a soft voice
So gentle and mild,
“Push open the door
And come in my dear child.”
original (26).jpg
The boy and dog
Wondering what they would find,
Entered together,
Leaving the old world behind.
original (27).jpg
Upon crossing the threshold
They beheld such a sight,
Looking up all around them
Was a castle of light!
original (28).jpg
The walls and the ceiling
Were covered in gold,
And arrayed in fine armor
Stood knights from of old.
original (29).jpg
Choirs of angels
And saints from above,
Gazed down with great majesty,
Power and love.
original (30).jpg
The boy and his dog
Overcome with great awe,
Looked up and then slowly
On their knees they did fall

For their eyes were affixed
On a lady serene,
Who smiled down upon them
She was surely the Queen.

Her face was pure beauty
Her love warm and true,
“Welcome,” she said,
“I’ve been waiting for you.”

The light that came from her
So enveloped the boy,
That his heart overflowed
with both peace and great joy.

Then the Queen of the castle,
Said, “Here little one,
Come closer, behold,
I give you, my Son.”

Then The Babe in her arms
Came down from above,
And cradled the boy
With heavenly love

He gave him His blessing
And said, “Never fear,
For my mother and I
Are always quite near.”
original (22).jpg
“Go now and serve others
Do as I have done,
I shall ever be with you,
So go now, my Son.”
original (23).jpg
Then the Babe gently lifted
Back up to the Queen,
To reign in the splendor
Of the castle unseen.

Then the boy and his dog
Both with radiant face,
Crossed back over the threshold
Of Amazing Grace.

To grow in wisdom and virtue
In grasses of green,
Under the shadow,
Of the castle unseen.
The End
