Are you struggling and in need of someone to listen to you and provide support and perspective?
Feel free to contact me to set up a "guidance counseling" session via an in-person visit or a Zoom call.
"Guidance counseling" is simply:
1) Direction or advice as to a decision or course of action.
2) Assistance in the resolution of personal difficulties
I integrate the Wisdom of Sacred Scripture and Church teachings with the thought/writings of St. Thomas Aquinas, Father Joseph Kentenich, and Catholic psychiatrist Dr. Conrad Baars to give us a proper perspective on our problems and practically aid us in our quest for healing and wholeness. ***
No cost. No donations accepted.
*** Please note: Whereas I have practiced professionally as a Community Services Therapist for the Children's Home of Northern Kentucky, I am not a state-certified professional counselor
Father Kentenich contrasted three steps of growth in the integration of Christianity and culture:
- St. Augustine as the representative of the integration of the Christian theology of God
- St. Thomas Aquinas as the representative of the integration of a Christian philosophy and theology of "secondary causes" (how created persons and things also participate in the work of salvation)
- Schoenstatt as the representative of a "psychology of secondary causes" (how one can make best use of created persons and things for the purposes of salvation).
200 Questions About Schoenstatt
Fr. Jonathan Niehaus
The wisdom passed down to us from the first two steps allows us to think and judge rightly regarding God, ourselves and the things of this world.
Dr. Conrad Baars helps us to identify and heal neuroses and malformation that block us from accomplishing the third step above and living a full and happy life.
My great nephew Kolbe
(named after St. Maximillian Kolbe)
To understand the human person and the nature of things, we must be grounded in the teachings of St. Thomas Aquinas.
Kolbe knows! A brilliant young man!
